PSP's weekly blog
Welcome to the PSP blog! As always, we’re excited to share the latest updates on our sports coaching and childcare programs. This week, we’re reflecting on our brilliant progress in Spring Term 2!

At PSP, our primary school PE lessons have been an exciting journey of skill development and teamwork. In tennis, we’ve been focusing on mastering attacking shots, with an emphasis on both forehand and backhand techniques. It’s been great to see everyone improving their accuracy and power on the court. In gymnastics and dance, we’ve been working hard on putting together fluid sequences, learning how to combine strength, balance, coordination, and creativity into seamless routines. It’s been a fun and rewarding experience, and we’re all looking forward to continuing to build on these skills!
Additionally, we’ve been encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship, helping students not only develop their individual skills but also collaborate and support each other in every lesson. These experiences are helping to build confidence and foster a positive attitude towards physical activity, both in and outside of school.
As we approach the Easter holiday, we’re excited to announce our upcoming holiday camp at PSP, designed to offer a fun and enriching experience for all children. Our Easter holiday camp will feature a variety of activities that will keep kids engaged and active, from exciting sports sessions to creative arts and crafts. We’ll also be heading into the great outdoors for some hands-on activities in the Forest School, where children can explore nature and develop new skills. With top-notch childcare, our holiday camp ensures a safe and enjoyable environment for kids to thrive. Whether it’s through sports, crafts, or outdoor adventures, we’re ready to make this Easter camp one to remember!
Tennis – Our tennis sessions this term are perfect for both beginners and those looking to improve their skills. With a focus on technique, footwork, and sportsmanship, kids will have a blast on the court while building confidence and coordination. Plus, tennis is a great way to develop social skills and teamwork!
Gymnastics – Our gymnastics program will help children build strength, flexibility, and coordination through fun and structured lessons. From basic movements to more advanced skills, children will improve their balance, agility, and overall body awareness in a supportive and encouraging environment. It’s the perfect way to foster confidence in young athletes!
Dance – We are also excited to offer dance lessons this term! Whether it’s building rhythm, learning new moves, or expressing themselves creatively, our dance classes are designed to nurture children’s love of movement. Dance helps develop coordination, balance, and body control, all while boosting self-esteem.
Each of these activities will be led by our highly experienced coaches who are passionate about fostering a love for sports and physical activity in every child. Whether it’s through the thrill of tennis, the strength-building challenge of gymnastics, or the creative flow of dance, we ensure that every child gets the most out of their time with us.

Why is coaching so important?
At PSP, we know that sports coaching plays a huge role in a child’s physical, mental, and emotional development. By integrating sports coaching into our childcare programs, we create a holistic environment where children can thrive, build friendships, and learn valuable life skills.
Through our P.E. lessons and holiday camps, children not only improve their fitness levels but also gain a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence. They learn how to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and overcome challenges – all essential skills for their growth and development.

Thanks for reading this week’s blog post! If you’re looking for a fun, active, and educational environment for your child this February half-term, don’t hesitate to book a spot in our holiday camp. We look forward to welcoming your child to another exciting week of sports and learning!
